As the Hyper Powers of the Human Sphere struggle for dominance in the face of a looming alien threat, the Nomad Nation wants only to be left alone. The three Motherships and countless smaller vessels, owing no allegiance other than to each other, have their own struggles, conflicts, and challenges.

But when a newly-minted Contract Team struggling to make a name for themselves bites off a little more than they can chew, they find their problems are only just beginning. Local gangs may work for more than one master. Internal strife often masks deeper problems.
